Tokyo’s Harajuku Popular Rocking Horse Shoes

Posted by admin On February - 16 - 2011

Most of the rocking horse shoes we see are designed by Vivienne Westwood, but I also found a nice variation on the theme by Unbilical. Rocking horse shoes were still kind of a novelty in Japan, but we now see them more and more. Here are some recent photos we took of rocking horse shoes in Tokyo’s trendy fashion district of Harajuku.

Trend 2011 Autumn for Japanese

Posted by admin On February - 16 - 2011

Tokyo may be huge, but Harajuku isn’t it and we often run into people that we photographed before. This week was no exception. Autumn has finally conquered Japan and it shows in the clothes, Autumn is one of the four temperate seasons that includes spring, summer and winter. Some people call autumn, “fall,” which refers to the leaves falling off the trees during this season. The falling of the leaves begins when the leaves change colors and go from being green, to burning red, golden yellow and vivid orange. Then as autumn continues, the leaves begin to rain from the tree branches signifying the end of the harvest time. Many people in Canada, the United States, Japan, China and Korea travel around their home countries during autumn just to watch the leaves change colors and fall off the trees because it is such a beautiful site of nature.

Japanese Winter Trend Fashion 2011

Posted by admin On February - 16 - 2011

First of all, i agree that Harajuku is a very cool place to hang out, but just to clarify to the answer above me the styles that were called goth and emo and punk aren’t actually those styles. The styles are actually called visual kei, oshare kei, decora kei, and gothic lolita, etc. Also i wouldn’t call a Japanese person who lived in Japan those styles cuz 1. they may not have any idea what those styles are and 2. a lot of people on the Internet have said how annoying it is that people call them those styles when they have major differences between them Harajuku is the name of a train station in Japan.

Every Sunday, the young Japanese girls get all dressed up. The styles range anywhere from Lolita Goth to Cosplay. Gwen Stefani visited Japan and was inspired by the looks. That is where she got the idea for the clothing line. You can learn a little more about them and how to copy their style of dress at the site below.
