You might not have noticed many fashion trends in childrenís wear but they are there and as much for boys as they are girls. We went along to some of the hottest labels runway shows for their kidsí collections and were blown away by the attention to detail and styling put into clothing for our little ones.
The boy’s fashion shows were incredibly successful and you will pleased to know there is something for everyone in the style stakes.
Not all little boys want to play in the mud, some of them have style from a young age and this was seen in many shows. Alongside causal ërough and tumbleí clothes there were sixties skinny jeans, long wool coats and plenty of colour. We are huge fans of the tailored clothes and you will be surprised by how many young men are seen swapping t-shirts for collared shirts and ties and suit jackets this year.
Anything retro will also go this year; drainpipe trousers, snappy tailoring and leather jackets are all whatís hot in young fashion. On the casual side of things, jumpers and jogging bottoms will see blocks of colour for a far funkier edge.
If your boy is a little older, you might find their inner fashionista is far more developed. Get to the root of what he wants by taking a look at what this yearís runway shows have to offer. Hip-hop and athletic gear are all popular choices but fashion can be hugely influenced by interests in sports, music or the arts. Donít embarrass your young man by attempting to dress him like you did ten years ago!
Boys fashion can be very similar to menís trends of the year. A little denim shirt or denim jacket will be bang on trend.

Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel lead the fashion design pack to a fantasia place which bring their Chanel Resort 2012 collection with a total immersion experience where the meaning of “croisière” is at its most glamorous. This Chanel Resort 2012 runway was reviewed by Sarah Mower and she say “This is one of the most beautiful places in the world, no?”. The Chanel Resort 2012 fashion design was inspired in sitting on a deck overlooking the Mediterranean Sea at the Hotel du Cap-Eden Roc in Antibes. The inspiration is this hotel is flawlessly kept, and there is a different dress code here, one has to dress to match the yachts and other cannot be sloppy.
One of the biggest trends spotted at last weeks’ Salon du Mariage at the Carrousel du Louvre was actually a hybrid of a couple of past trends, something that we’ve affectionately dubbed “Black and Bling”. From the moment you stepped into the Salon, you could see that it was going to be all about High Drama. Sponsored by Swarovski Crystallized and designed by Jean-Luc Blais, the entrée to the salon was literally dripping in dramatic bling- from gowns to accessories, to the amazing over-the-top banquet table- nearly every inch of the space was bejeweled.
Once fully in the Salon, things were a bit more tame, but le Black et Bling still played a predominant role- showing up in DIY decorations, wedding cakes, and tabletop accessories. Oh, and what would a Paris wedding show be without the ubiquitous Black Wedding Dress? This year’s version came at the runway shows’ finale from Hayari Couture- a black and silver, seemingly 80’s-inspired mini with a tumbling train at the back.
So, how can you bring a little Parisian Black and Bling to your wedding or event? How about starting with black or transparent glass candelabras with tall, black taper candles? Or bunches of white hydrangeas in a cluster of black and clear glass vases in different shapes and sizes? And don’t forget to add gobs of loose or scatter crystals. We all know that weddings have been blinged out for quite some time now, but one decidedly Parisian touch that I saw this year was whimsy. Parisian Black and Bling isn’t just about serious Hollywood glamor, it’s also about fun and fantasy. So feel free to add your own silly touches: butterflies, crowns, feathers- whatever you need to make this trend your own.
Spring and summer season coming again, many fashion trend with many models and colorful and sexy. Summer is the perfect time to bring back the Safari inspired look. Just like the nautical and floral trends the safari trend is a sure hit for this season. You can pair your safari outfit with statement pieces to add glamour. It’s more of a minimal approach when it comes to the outfit itself but you can always mix and match other fashion pieces.

Fashion Style For Less Colourfull Blocking, fashion unique and colorful plus bring humbel for you wear and make you some spirit in this day. One of the biggest trends for this season, apart from colour blocking, is cerulean blue. As seen in the 2006 blockbuster hit The Devil Wears Prada, the shade has been taken to new heights after being showcased across countless shows over the past few seasons.
Colour blocking doesn’t have to be difficult – in fact, it can often be very subtle. If you’re worried that you’re going to look like a clown when you step out of the door, have no fear! Choose one of the pieces above (all for under £30) and add a simple nude heel to add immediate class to the look. Colour blocking doesn’t have to be all oranges and yellows – you can mix dark with light and light with dark, but we don’t recommend doing it that way at the laundrette!
