Pakistan Fashion Dress make new inspiration and it’s good. Fashion designer Hilary Alexander finds the designers in Lahore are inspired by their land’s rich history to create vivid and vibrant clothes. I was going to Pakistan Fashion Week, the two ‘b’ words were invariably top of the conversational agenda – bombs and burkas.
I met two full hijab and niqab wearing women in Anarkali – the bazaar named for a slave-girl supposedly buried alive by being bricked up in a wall by a Mughal emperor; one agreed to be filmed by the Telegraph’s video cameraman, “because you can’t see my face anyway”, and the other, shopping at an underwear stall in one of the alleys, told me that the silver, purple and gold bras and knickers were “a good souvenir of Lahore.” Long Dress Pakistan Fashion With a 4,000-year DNA via fashion.telegraph.co.uk
2011 has come let christmas gone and prepare for new fashion trend. New maxi length is new fashion trend at beginning 2011. Gone are the days when reasonable and appropriate shoes, but fit into our pants for women seriously – now it’s all about casual look at work.
There are also many options for dresses – from assymetrics, back and even the choice of a short back and long train (which can be seen below, courtesy of Asos.com), which are ideal for those who think they can not completely remove all but the appearance of a maximum channel you want to sign one of the best new trends. Last week I went to the store in her new dress from Miss Selfridge maxi, wearing only a pair of pump-style shoes on my feet!
The fashion house were on to the flare trend before any other designer on the runway. Models strutted down the cat walk in the elongating trousers made of orange and green tweed, whilst sporting the classic Burberry fitted jackets. Long lengths were seen throughout the collection, ranging from maxi skirts to maxi trenches – A key trend for the season.
Burberry Prorsum is a much subtler affair than the spikes and studs seen in his spring collection. Bailey took the classic trench and gave it a bohemian edge with leather wrap belts and jaded sequin collars. Many of the coats included removable knit collars and cuffs, which let wearers take their look from day-wear to night. The collection consisted of a fox fur trench coat and a black number with doouble row buttons and a rabbit hair hem. Each ensemble was paired with the the towering thigh high boots plastered in wet look leather, creating the classic outerwear chic that the fashion house is famous for.
Not one to showcase evening wear, Bailey gave a preview of floor length dresses and streamline tuxedos for both women and men. A favourite of many proved to be the low cut, dusky pink maxi dress, with bellowing ruffles cascading to the floor as well as the satin maroon evening gown topped with the jade tasselled wrap.
We saw a selection of dresses and trousers suits made of luxurious leathers and thick wools. His collection consisted of maily blacks, whites, greys and neutral shades, with Costa calling his technique ‘minimal and almost monastic’. Which was mirrored in his fitted dress made out of black wool, paired with a double leather belt, to which he named the ‘power dress’.
If you’re looking for sophisticatedly simple lines and monochromatic hues in slim coat, riding pants, or chic little dress, then Calvin Klein is the place to go. Some designers might dabble in minimalism, but at Calvin Klein stark subtlety is a religion, and the Pre-Fall 11 collection proved to be no different. Each piece created by Costa worked in harmony together, and was very much a continuation from his previous SS11 shows.
He showed the versatility of his designs by showing the same tunic worn as a dress as well as a long top over the perfectly tailored trousersuits. Taking a simple black dress and topping it with this seasons aviator jacket, Costa also reinvented the favourited deep sea blue shift dress, (pictured below from his SS11 collection) and instead created a very similar garment constructed from rhick black wool. He played around with the lengths of the garments – From the current maxi length to the classic knee and thigh lengths, which added sex appeal to the otherwise conservative ensembles. Fransisco stated that the bonded, double face, black leather used throughout his collection had become a favourite and a signature piece used for the house and that we should expect to see much more of it in up coming seasons.
Trend in 2011 in this spring has come and tred-colored dress fashion. in shape with a longer dress the model back and paired with a soft cloth and smooth.Shirttail hem, tapered hem, cutaway hem… whatever you wish to label it, the basic fact remains: skirts and dresses cut longer at the back are continuing to make their way into our trend bibles, and thus features as a major 2011 fashion trend. These hems fill the void between mini and midi; or between midi and maxi. They cover, yet they expose. And they’re a simple way to freshen up your spring 2011 wardrobe with a new type of cut.
A shirttail hem is traditionally cut shorter on the sides, with a longer ‘tail’ at the back. In 2011 the trend is more than just a shirttail hem, however: it’s any manner of dresses, skirts or tops that have a hem that’s shorter in front, longer in back.
